INGREDIENTS:
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup dark corn syrup
- 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 2 1/2 lb. Danish dough (note: I use a Basic Sweet Roll Dough recipe from the Food Network).
Preheat oven to 350.
Cream together brown sugar and butter until smooth. On low-medium speed, mix in the honey, corn syrup, and vanilla.
Using a vegetable spray, coat a cake pan. Spread the brown sugar mix and nuts on the bottom of the cake pan.
Roll dough out on a floured surfact to 1/4 inch thickness. Spread more brown sugar mixture on top of dough. Cut into 1 inch strips and roll them up and place them in the cake pan. Allow the rolls to proof for about 15 minutes.
Bake in oven for approximately 10-15 minutes or until golden brown. Allow the buns to rest for 5 – 10 minutes.
Turn out onto serving plate. Top with more brown sugar mixture and more nuts as desired.
